Renovation of an apartment—previously damaged by fire and subsequently occupied by squatters—to make it habitable again.

The renovation involved reconfiguring the layout to create a spacious living area with an open-plan kitchen, while also improving the energy efficiency rating by three classes.

 

Scope of work:

- partial wall and ceiling insulation

- replacement of the oil-fired heating system with an air-to-air heat pump

- installation of a mechanical ventilation system (VMC)

- replacement of windows and some shutters

- roof repair

- renovation of all sanitary facilities
